Does anyone know and are they at libert to say what Thruds health problems are. I remember reading a post by him were he stated that Lupus was one of the possible diagnosis.

I e-mailed him awhile back, but got no response,I think I'll try again tonight.

Oddly enough socialised medicine is part of the problem here.
Office visits are so high because if a doctor accepts Medicade or Medicare he must charge ALL his patients the Medicade/care average. If he doesn't he could either loose his licensce,be fined or even see jail time.
My cousin is a kidney specialist,he says that they do see a lot of patients for free or a minimal charge, but it is always done under the table and hush hush.He also said how many rules they bend for a patient depends on the're attitude, rotten attitude means no breaks.
We also passed tort liability reform here in the state, things are begining to change, albeit slowly.

Someone tell Thrud there's a rookie in the forum who can explain to him why a taper turned with a bit set too low will turn a concaved taper! That might provoke him to show up. (I was reading some old post on the taper topic!) It would be nice to see him back, I never passed on a Thrud post!

Thank you to our families of soldiers, many of whom have given so much more then the rest of us for the Freedom we enjoy.

It is true, there is nothing free about freedom, don't be so quick to give it away.

Thoughts and prayers to Dave. Miss him.

Nothing here on socialized medicine, we live so close to canada, that if one does not like medicine her, they go North. Kind of a "borgasmord" medicine here on the I-91 corridor. The fee seems to be a bus ticket North or South, depending.

Just posting to help this thread perk up to the top - any Thrud sightings, yet?

The curse of having precise measuring tools is being able to actually see how imperfect everything is.

I snapped a picture of him in my backyard just yesterday.

The bugger left empty bottles of chocolate milk everywhere.

'natural cures they don't want you to know about'- book by Kevin Trudeau.

Has anyone here read any of this book- this guy talks about this subject in such a way that he protects himself while suggesting that there are many known cures for many diseases other than the known pharmaceutical prescriptions medicinal routine- the potential to cure many diseases rather than treat the symptoms only and potentially prolong the disease and it's treatment. Diabetes was one disease which he said there IS a cure for. A cure, mind you, where the continuing use of drugs is not required.

A case in point would be my own experience with certain popular name brand cough candies. If I take them when I have a cold, they soothe but don't seem to affect the length of time I have the cold. If I don't have a cold, and take one of these, I do start to feel like a have a cold. Almost like it's got a built-in infectious agent-

I was motivated to ask this by a talk I saw on the tube covering this basic premise- that the medical profession doesn't 'cure' diseases, but more or less traps a person into buying the drugs, thus ensuring an increased income for the professional, and basically taking advantage of the disadvantaged ill person. I don't recall the speaker, but this fellow was suggested to me as possibly the person who spoke out on this issue.
I seldom do anything within the scope of logical reason and calculated cost/benefit, etc- I'm following my passion-
