Go over to "Practical Machinist" and sell all you want. There is a classified section.

would be a shame if we turned a nice board into another advertising medium. The only stuff I've seen like that here is the rare ebay item that we know might interest board members. (such as just posted by billh)

Jero, I think it's nice that you had the courtesy to ask first.

              just my 2 cents...

Thank you to our families of soldiers, many of whom have given so much more then the rest of us for the Freedom we enjoy.

It is true, there is nothing free about freedom, don't be so quick to give it away.

Jero, Didn't you read the rules when you signed on?

                SHAME ON YOU.

Unless it has created problems here before I don't see the harm in it.I've bought several item s from the PM site and several from Michael AZ,through the PM site and I find it a pleasure to deal with these folks but policy is policy so I'll stick to the rules, even though I haven't read them all the way through.

                    Hypothetical situation:
A member of this board has an item for sale on ebay. That member posts a link to the item on this board titled "good deal on ebay".
What's the difference in that and posting the item here?

There is still a bid, unless your "Buy it now" price is your starting bid. Then who would be the Numb nut?

Still not a difference that I can see.
A person could post a lathe here with a price of $2000 OBO.
Or post a link to their auction with a $2000 buy-it-now price.
                            Same thing.
