  • General Steel customer service...

I went to General Steel in Macon Ga. today and got some sticks of rectangle tubing Pretty small beans to a big operation.

I just wanted to say that those guys were GREAT! Even though they had to cut it up to fit in my little Mazda PU they treated me like I was spending a million bucks. They went out of their way to load it/ tie it down etc. and I look up and the guy is CLEANING MY FRIGGIN WINDSHIELD!

I'll be getting my stuff from there from now on.

WOW. Now that is service. Wish that I lived close enough to trade there. I get good service from my supplier only because I've known him for a 100 years and knew his father for 50 years before that.

The only problem is that he always asks what grade of 1030 do you wnat this time? That is the only type of steel that he will order in.

It's Georgia. They know how to treat people down there.

I'd make sure you're up to date on tetanus shots before I go back there.

Are you trying to say you were the one washing his windshield?

Nope... just saying that if such a person was ta come in to MY place of business, she would receive fairly good customer service!
