Put your mouse on the left edge about halfway up. Does it change to an arrow? If so, hold the left mouse button down and drag the frame back to the right an inch or two.

Along these lines, does anyone know how to make the inbox pop up by default when T'Bird is launched? a blank screen comes up, and I am somewnat annoyed to have to select it every time I start.

neonman, I think that's a choice during installation of the program. I wonder if you could just re-instal it over the old copy and choose that option when it comes up- that way you shouldn't lose any mails, addresses, etc. Maybe check the Tbird website for the best answers.
I seldom do anything within the scope of logical reason and calculated cost/benefit, etc- I'm following my passion-

neonman, go to Tools -> Options. Under general, what is the address for Thunderbird start location?
