D1-4 Nose Protector

I don't like the idea of swarf getting in the locking mechanism of my D1-4 nosepeice when I am using 5C collets so I made a cover for the nose. I was going to mount it with pins but decided that was too complicated for what I was doing. Three set screws that fit inside the chuck key holes hold it in place.

I'll post a couple pictures of it off the lathe. I'm new to posting and last time I posted a picture on this site it was too large and I got a lot of negative comments so this time I made it as small as possible. Hopefully someday I'll reach a happy medium.

If you post links to your pictures, like you did, you can make them any size you want as that won't affect the thread. I think most people object to large pictures that are automatically loaded into the post because one has to scroll to the side to read the replies. Otherwise, the larger the photo the better!

The part was turned from 6061 T6 and the brass piece was added to cover a mistake in measuring, however I think it adds a little sex appeal.
