  • 1/4 scale ohv v-8 plans

I would like to know where I could find plans for a approx. 1/4 scale ohv v-8 with castings or even all from solid stock.

    Checkout http://www.nvbackflow.com/engines/
Should find everything you need there!

      HOTRODCHEVY:

A real man would pull the 409 out of the el Camino and start measuring. Or even better a Rambler 290. But it would take a he-man to do that (especially the Rambler).

Not much of a chebby fan if you can't do that

You might want to check out Conley Precision's V-8. I don't know if they sell kits or only the completed engines. I first saw these in Hot Rod magazine in the mid-80's.

Take a look at the Bay Area Engine Modelers club site "baemclub.com". These guys have built a bunch of model V8's and can help you make the best choice.

First scale model V-8 I ever read about was written up in "Hot Rod" magazine in 1952. Boy! Did it ever raise some eyebrows and darn nearly get three high school Freshmen kicked out of Study Hall!!
