I am a newbie
I have been reading the board for many months now, I finally saw the need to post.
So I will introduce myself.
I am Paul, a farmer from South Dakota.
My baby is a South Bend 14آ½" with an 8' bed. She is new to me having spent a time with the state highway department. I love having extra bed on my right! Her home right now is cold and old (a converted chicken coop/garage), I am planning a new shop for her and my next purchases next summer. I think 30'X 60'X 10 & 14' should do just fine. With a wall to separate the welding shop from the machine shop and a curtain to separate the tall area from the welding area, to conserve heat in the winter.
I am looking for a mill next, the milling vise on the South Bend is nice but I think the mill will work so much better.
