  • Getting my chucks in a row....

I was tired of having my chucks stored in the drawer of the tool cart that I have located between my lathe and mill.
I already had this setup for my R8 collets. Decided to expand for my chucks.

There's a winner! It looks like you have a pretty nice shop, Sid.

Toolguy- Thanks! Yes I do. I've been taking the time around the holidays to clean and organize, try to be efficient with things.

What's the doodad at the end of the rack, next to the smallest drill chuck?

That's a rather nice set you got there sid. And that's not something I feel comfy saying to anyone other than someone with a nice collection of chucks....

Spent a chunk of the afternoon doing the same thing. But I've got farther to go before the background looks as nice as yours....

Sometimes ya gotta just take one bite of the elephant at a time. But you have to start!

Did I see rust on one of the R8 collets? Perish the thought.

                  I think that’s just a camera anomaly?
But, I’ll check them to be sure!

Do you actually make things or just collect tools?

Sid is no collector, he makes lots of VERY nice (and very useful) things.

Really?? Just look at my avatar...

I don't have a lot of posts, but many are of something I've designed and built. A model engine, steam or IC. Often times I will display an improvement that I've made for efficiency. My shop is a money making endeavor. The machines and my "collection of tools"pay for themselves and then some. I take good care of them. I organize for efficiency when and where I can.

This is the second time you've had a negative comment on something that I've displayed for tool organization.

Please contribute to the community in a positive way by displaying your own "things".

Nice looking and functional tool rack. I had not thought of using angle for that purpose, but it looks like it works quite well. Thanks for sharing.
