    Boring...? Nice chipbreaker for Aluminum. You could whip up a boring bar for that in about an hr..

      I do have a CCMT boring bar, although haven't used these in it, I'll have to give it them try it.

            both look like CCxT to me, probably the 0602/ 25.51 size at a guess. Left looks like a CCGT, right looks like some kind of funky CCMT. However, CCMT and CPMT inserts look very similar but (from memory) are not the same. Only way to find out is to try one in a SCLCR type holder.

            I use CCGT almost exclusively. Work beautifully on my light duty lathe and leave a great finish, but aren't very robust in steel.
