Anyone know where to get a used or cheap bench shear for cutting small tiles by hand. Or somehow make one???

Home depot has tile breaking devices cheap. Under $22 IIRC. You score and then bend along the line and they cut cleanly. https://www.homedepot.com/p/ANVIL-14...4ANV/304747845
I'm not sure how small your tiles are, but that worked for me when I needed to fix some 1x2 inch tiles around my bathub.

If you can't find anything else you might make a cradle for the small piece to hold it in position. Now that I think about it, I also I bought tile nippers (https://www.homedepot.com/b/Flooring...,6678,635,1017) for under $20 when I was doing that bathroom remodel.

I've got a set of pliers that are like a small brake, with a scoring wheel on the backside. They work great for small tiles. Did my old kitchen in small mosaic tiles and they paid for themselves very fast. I'm pretty sure I got that at home depot, but it was about 12 years ago. I'll see if I can dig them up tomorrow and snap a pic
edit: Dan posted as I was writing. Mine are like these https://www.homedepot.com/p/QEP-Hand...024Q/203265734
I've got some nippers too, but didn't find them as usefull for clean cuts.Last edited by Dan Dubeau; 03-18-2020, 09:41 PM.
