Nippers, and then clean em up on a dry diamond angle grinder clamped in a vise. Honestly, I've handheld small pieces up to the blade of my 10" wetsaw just fine and used it like a disk sander.

Home Depot sell tile nippers. The HDX 8" nippers work well. if you are cutting them attached to each other in a sheet the 4" grinder and a dry cut diamond blade works well.

I've got a set of pliers that are like a small brake, with a scoring wheel on the backside. They work great for small tiles. Did my old kitchen in small mosaic tiles and they paid for themselves very fast. I'm pretty sure I got that at home depot, but it was about 12 years ago. I'll see if I can dig them up tomorrow and snap a pic
edit: Dan posted as I was writing. Mine are like these https://www.homedepot.com/p/QEP-Hand...024Q/203265734
I've got some nippers too, but didn't find them as usefull for clean cuts.Last edited by Dan Dubeau; 03-18-2020, 09:41 PM.

If you can't find anything else you might make a cradle for the small piece to hold it in position. Now that I think about it, I also I bought tile nippers (https://www.homedepot.com/b/Flooring...,6678,635,1017) for under $20 when I was doing that bathroom remodel.

I used a diamound blade on my table saw to trim and fit tile, worked really good.

Rose, a diamond blade on a small angle grinder might be a better way to go. Jim

Thank you for answering so very fast.
I have a 24" tile cutter like that....but I can't control tiny (e.g.up to 1" tiles). I'm hoping for something more like small bench shears.

Home depot has tile breaking devices cheap. Under $22 IIRC. You score and then bend along the line and they cut cleanly. https://www.homedepot.com/p/ANVIL-14...4ANV/304747845
I'm not sure how small your tiles are, but that worked for me when I needed to fix some 1x2 inch tiles around my bathub.
