Really begs for a tool taking a cut in the reverse direction too.

How do the buff the sharp corners off of the springs?

Have I just not been paying attention, or is that the first time I've seen the tool automatically lifted for the return stroke?

Those springs are probably for export to China- a punishment for sending us the virus
I seldom do anything within the scope of logical reason and calculated cost/benefit, etc- I'm following my passion-

Gotta do it for carbide, it doesn't tolerate back dragging like HSS.
I just need one more tool, just one!

New to me too, I thought they made springs by boring out bolts.

I remember long ago seeing a small shaper with some sort of cable assembly that lifted the clapper box. It worked on some kind of one way friction system next to the ram

                Just found an example

                  They don't have to.
They're a supplier to Ford for F 150 seat springs.
