  • New LCD DRO display

Got this installed, went LCD after research, seeing one and price. Glass scales. So far I like it! Pics in daylight, 0 and 45 degrees and distance. Big numbers easy to read for my old ass Had to make mount arm 5" longer but all other hardware worked.

Very nice! I've found that differing brands of offshore glass scales use completely different pinouts. I've in the past had to hook up my logic analyzer to figure them out and make them work. Luckily they all use quadrature TTL signals.

With a name like that, it must be made in Texas.

very nice! That's the exact same one I'd like to buy to fit onto my mill (saving up for some new shocks for the car first!). Which seller did you get yours from? I keep thinking about magnetic scales, but for the price these go for it's kinda hard to justify.

It'd be neat to hear back in a couple of months after you've had time to get familiar with it and all the functions.

Yes I'll keep updating as I learn and find the good and bad. The glass scales I got avg 50 buck each so 150 for all three. No way I can ever justify mag scales for what I do. I looked at all the DROs and scales and I just needed economy more that anything else. I will tell you, which you all probably know, these things are so precise that I find if it just breathe the numbers change, set the table lock and they change! I need to learn not to worry about one thousands when making cigar holders You just never saw that with the handwheel scales But I'll be learning something new instead of going crazy over the virus.

I got it off ebay, display from: tody-shopping and the scales from: love-happyshopping. Total for it all was: $266. I had to go with two sellers because the display seller was out of 700mm scales.

What's it give you for a display when using the bolt circle function? Reason I ask, is the Accurite VUE we have at work throws up a picture of the desired bolt circle and displays the current hole position. Makes it easier to keep track of the start/stop angle etc.
I just need one more tool, just one!

Yep seems to do exactly that. Note functions below.
