I love fishing, but not THAT much! I've watched a lot of launch videos of SA kayak fishermen. You have a very different kayak design than we here, where comfort is prioritized over seaworthyness.

Im sure it will just buff out..Our sea conditions allow us to only concentrate on bare necessities.Its a bad idea to be too cramped on a kayak when you need to negotiate some waves in.The vast majority of our skis are fibreglass.
