Great once in a lifetime find. Probably best if you don't say what it cost.

By the way..... really good score....!

Congrats, but you know how these things work... A better/cheaper one will turn up shortly after you buy one Must be some law of the universe. No matter, you have this one now. Enjoy!

Congrats! Now you need to find a home for the little lathe.
At the end of the project, there is a profound difference between spare parts and left over parts.

Still waiting for the cost... The cost of the machine will determine the level of "YOU SUCK"!

Did you get a threading dial?

He already sucks, and admitted as much,
if he said the price, people would start throwing rotten tomatoes at him, tar& feather, etc.
the only variable is just HOW MUCH he sucks.

How can we give a you suck without knowing what he paid?
Super nice machine without a doubt. Best of luck with it.

Nah I'm waiting and looking for the threading dial, or at least the gear. The original sale thread is still up in the SB forum at PM so its not like a big secret.

Yeah, That goes both ways, the PM guys rag on the HSM guys.
And talking about anything chinese or HF will get you kicked out of there.

I find the South Bend forum to be the "friendliest" one over there. Also the Antique Machinery one.
I don't go in their other forums unless I'm bored and taking the p1$$

Yes, talking about low-end, poorly made hobby level chinese machines, gets you booted. Well deserved.
                              Industrial machine discussion does not.

Sometimes it bugs me: I wonder if its even possible for an American company to make entry-level machines any more. I'm sure many hobbyists would buy a different kind of machine but there isn't anything else available at that level. EDIT: wait, what about Taig and Sherline?
