  • OT: Pakistan Airlines 8303 crash

Apparently they made two attempts to land, one scrape and go with the gear up, one after go around with the gear down, but with engines eating themselves-

New video shows evidence of engines hitting the runway with the gear UP.LINKS:The Aviation Herald:http://avherald.com/h?article=4d7a6e9a&opt=0A320 Landing Ge...

WOW, after being a FE for 6 years ... that a mistake you don't come back from. That was always the last check I made before touch down.

Wow. How do you ignore the "landing gear won't go down due to overspeed" alarm? So very sad.
At the end of the project, there is a profound difference between spare parts and left over parts.

      Location: SF East Bay.

Indeed. The landing gear seems to have been forgotten in more than one place.

              Nice snarky post Jerry.

You finished solving Ringo's RPC problem?
After all you are the Moderator of the VFD and RPC sub-form at PM. Sadly you're not the expert the former moderator was.

Yes snarky... right up there with "Meanwhile in your own back yard".

And, of course, your comment above. Did you have a specific problem that you feel is not addressed?

I do not recall Ringo having an RPC issue here. Search didn't find it.

I believe that was a thread regarding all the various ways to go about running a 3ph machine in a 1ph garage.
static phase converter, RPC, VFD, or just outright buy a 1ph new motor.
figureing in new technology that out there nowadays

If I did have an issue, I'd address it to Dave Kamp or B. Nelson if he was still around.

My mistake, it was actually FEAR.

What kind of stupid thread derailment is this? Perhaps Reggie should depart to PM instead.

So China covered up with the help of the WHO the fact that the landing gear wasn't down?

I thought there would be a warning if the aircraft approached the ground with the landing gear up.
