I have no idea, we have a Hardinge turret lathe. This shop has been in business for over 50 years so I suspect there is one of these lying unused in a tool drawer for the last 40 years, I shall look tomorrow. An interesting tool.

All of the people that ran such machines have either retired or died, it is difficult to ask them questions, I am only 60 years old so have another 10 years or so.

I suspect you set a tool on known center height. Then on a convenient surface, you set this tool to that height and lock it.
now you use it to check every tool you set.
