  • Unusual quick action screw clamp

    I saw this on ebay UK just now, a quick acting clamp for something. I assume the pivot point is sliding to lock the body, and the clamp is fixed to a fence rail when in use. ebay no 184462834594

        Yep! That's exactly what it is. I patched MANY bicycle tires with those back in my youth.
        Are those (hot patches) still available? Or have tubeless tires sent them the way of the dodo bird?

          That's exactly what it is. Had one years ago, only real way to do a great patching job. I wish I had kept it but you can't get the patch pots anymore I hear tell. I looked a while back and nothing.

            Yep still have a twin to that one also have some old patchs with the little metal try I'm sure they wouldn't work anymore lol

                That explains the rasp which was a mystery to me. Since having problems with configuring the security on the new Microsoft edge, I use Firefox more often and it interfers with cutting and pasting links. The clamp is smaller than I thought it was, I was thinking of it being about a foot long.
