My job was going to GIVE me a Mazak 414/22 VMC a few weeks ago.
Nothing wrong with it. 20hp machine.
But it was 12,000 lbs and had a large footprint.
I passed on it, because rigging was going to cost $3000
and it would have maxed out my shop space.
I figured I could put the $3000 towards a cnc conversion
of one of my current machines.
So to the scrap yard it went. Sad.

Mazaks are good machines, but as anything check the condition carefully.

This would be an excellent home shop machine, not overly large and the Mazatrol software is friendly.

    Mazak VAC-15/40

Just wondering if anyone here has direct experience with this pup, or knows someone that does? Just for home shop usage. I haven't a clue or I wouldn't be asking. <g>
