Another very interesting Russian machining video.
Don't forget to turn on English subtitles.

Impressive to say the least. I wouldn’t have had the brains nor the patience to complete that project!

Interesting ---- begs the question - does anyone do this with wider space effect for an alternative means of knurling?

Remember the Stanley Yankie Handiman screwdriver, not as pretty, I still have one somewhere.

I could screw that up before the first pass.

That's easy to do on a rose engine. Just left and right helixes.

I made some motorcycle footpegs like that many years ago by single pointing a coarse thread in both directions. Well, I attempted to make some anyway. They turned out pretty crappy and I abandoned the idea and went back to knurling.

A 90 or 120 degree cutter would work better than a 60 degree cutter for knurling.

I fell asleep. How did he make the nuts?

And if you look REAL close at an analog signal,
You will find that it has discrete steps.

Single point threading. The nuts are not threaded with both hands like the screw - one nut is right hand, one nut is left hand.

The male and female threads cannot actually match as the thread angles will be different. Only a slack fit allows the nuts to run on the double male thread. Think about it.
