BTW, he told me that he was turning it over to others, so he may not even be involved anymore. All this if, of course, it is the same guy I think it is, which is pretty likely.
By "others" did he mean his other personalities?

I have had some of my posts deleted, but I haven't been banned yet.

Last thought in 2020: I wish the vaccine was available sooner.
Last thought in 2021: I wish I had had it when it was offered.

I think there are too many forums. Too easy to start one up with a bit of free software. It gets about 10 or 20 users and is pretty moribund. On the other hand perhaps it keeps weirdos (some of them) away.
At the beginning of this thread I thought the reason for banning might be for asking a dumb question that had been asked only a couple of days before. So many people just slap a queston on a few forums without reading a book or basic searches.

          Thanks.
It's a hobby, I machine for a living and will not do so just for fun.
It is the only subject that I have a considerable knowledge of, and on occasion can give useful advice to hobbyists but the chances of this are few and far between due to the general questions asked.

These are a few of the subjects that I know absolutely zero about:

Early to mid 20th century lathes and mills
          Wigglers
          Change gears
The correct paint colors of old machines
          Red lead
The correct oil or grease for old machines
Chamfering the edges of $50.00 plectrums using horizontal disk lapping equipment
