Seems like a really good deal ! Could be wrong but it appears to be a fine pole chuck which is a plus also. Guessing it is 3 phase, if so you might want to put a vfd on it. I put a VFD on my boyar schultz and love it, soft start up to speed, does not take 5 mins for spindle to stop rotating (set at 20sec) and you can very the speed for special apps. Kind of a waste to run a large rotary converter for something that small. Your right, that grinder looks to be in almost new condition !

vfd makes a lot of sense on a grinder, the soft start and stop is a huge advantage. We all know there is a bit of clearance between wheel and spindle and the imbalance that creates goes away after dressing....but without soft start stop the wheel can be jerked out of position meaning its got to be dressed every time you turn it on. Dressing a lot is a good thing, but with some intermittent jobs it can be an unnecessary pita the softy start stop fixeslocated in Toronto Ontario

To offset the "You Suck" comments, I took a nasty fall today in the shop. Banged up my knees, elbows, and left rib cage. Not sure if I'll be able to walk in the morning. I was clearing up the space for the grinder, had just vacumned up the absorbent stuff you clean up oil spills with from an old spill. I was then carrying jugs of used oil and tripped, spilling oil all over the area I had just cleaned up. The wife put down new absorbent material in the same area.
You cannot make this crap up.

Ouch... that kind of crap hurts. At least you did not whack your head on a machine, which might have wider implications.

Because the WIAD ones only use two wires from the 3 phase.... work fine on single phase.CNC machines only go through the motions.

I assume your 10EE is a motor-generator set type?
