A while back I purchased a large batch of collets which included a good number of 5C collets in various sizes. At this point I’ve sorted through the collets, filled out my set, made some additional sets, got my money out of them, and am left with a good number of odds and ends. Selling these is going to be more hassle than anything, so I’m hoping to give them away to anyone willing to pay shipping (out of Canada). First come, first serve – send me a PM with what you want and an address and I’ll send you a shipping quote. Collets are used, many have coolant stains, but are in useable condition. Anything unusable gets scrapped.

Here is a list of what I have (I’ll attempt to keep it updated):
    Hardinge – 5/64, 1/8, 7/16, ½, 9/16, 5/8, ¾ (3)
    Rivett – 9/16, 55/64
    Royal – 5/16
    Willis – 3/16
    Offshore – 25/64, 27/64, 29/64, 15/32, 39/64, 21/32, 23/32, 47/64, 7/8, 1 (2), 20mm, 22mm

I’ve also got a box of very discoloured collets which I’m not going to bother listing. There are a number of Rivett collets in this box, if anyone is a collector and would like them I can fish them out, but how well they clean up is up to you.

Over the years, I have aquired about 150 collets, all 5C.
Just a mix of everything, many duplicates.
It was just random sizes and brands, to get me by.
But always frustrating, never had the right size.
So one day I bought a full 72 piece set of
all Hardinge collets, by 64ths, up over 1".
Wow how nice that was ! Always having the proper size.

And don't fool yourself thinking you don't need 64th sizes.
You do. Most round stock is a few thousandths oversize.
    Yes even cold rolled.
A piece of round that is .753" is NOT going to go in a 3/4"
    collet. You need 64th sizes.

And another note, the range for a single 5C collet is +.000/-.005".
If you are outside that range, bore up a soft emergency collet.

I’ll take these as long as the shipping to the US isn’t absurd. Pm sent

100% agree. I've filled out my set by 64ths, all Hardinge, and would have a hard time going back to anything else.
