Yesterday I was using my Horizontal mill to cut a small gear. I got to thinking about the project and who was involved from this forum. 1) When I asked for help identifying the belts on the machine I received a list of the belts and sizes as well as some good advce. I can't remember who it was but it made the task a lot easier. 2) another member on this forum gave me some like new wheel cutters that fit the machine and were used to make some special tooling needed for the project. 3) A third member of the forum needed an special gear that you cannot buy. It necessitated building some tooling and a repair of a dividing head. What a wonderful gift while locked down with the pandemic. 4) As the fourth member of this quartet I got to upgrade my skills to reverse engineer the device needing the gear as well think about how generous some people are with their time and information. Thank you to the three that were part of the project.

This is my favorite forum- and you all put up with me with all my OT posts. Some of you have sent me stuff too, and I do appreciate it. We seem to have a group of genuine characters here, mostly everyday humble people. It's great.
