  • Grinding Wheel Pricing

I was wondering who has the best price
on grinding wheels. I’ll probably go with
Radiac. 8x1/2x1-1/4 is my size. Thanks

"Grinding Wheel" is a vague description of what you require.
Off hand, surface, cylindrical, infeed centerless?

Surface grinding wheel to be exact, but
I’m guessing one company might give a
better price than another on any type of
      wheel depending on quantity.

Buy 1000 at a time from any reputable supplier and you will get excellent pricing if cost is the highest priority.

There are no stupid questions. But there are lots of stupid answers. This is the internet.

I like Norton wheels. They're of a good quality, IMHO, and with a low consumption HSM use, the price difference between Norton and very cheap brands is not really an issue.

Are you asking where is the low cost place to buy a certain make/model? Or are you asking what is the cheapest grinding wheel you can buy?

I would say don't cheap out on surface grinding wheels. Avoid the crap house brands, get a good norton wheel. With occasional home shop use you'll be using for years and years, not worth saving small dollars. The guys at PM that use them all day convinced me to splurge on the expensive norton wheels and its proven to be good advice.
in Toronto Ontario - where are you?
