  • Favorite .mp4 to DVD burning software...not free but paid for?Like the title says

I have some treasured .mp4 files that I need to burn to DVD player compatible discs. I've looked at freebies but am concerned about getting tons of other stuff along with it. I'm a firm believer in "you get what you pay for." Anyone here have a favorite one?

Start with telling us your OS. My favorites would not help you because I use Linux.

It's been my experience that you may find the commercial products are more likely to install "extras" than the public domain stuff. For a while Adobe was trying to install a virus scanner each time we got an update of one of their products.

Windows used to have a built in CD/DVD writing utilities. I don't know what they are doing currently.

Windows Media player appears to burn to a DVD as a data disc; not a DVD player compatible disc.

          Any Video Converter!

It's main function is to convert different video formats into the one you want, which it does a fantastic job of but it also burns to a disk.

          AND IT IS FREE!!!!!!!!!

I used a free CD/DVD burner app 5 or 6 years ago, and it worked well enough. It's installed on one of my old computers, and I forget what it was. Here is one I found that looks promising - it's in the Microsoft Store so it's probably safe, and it also has an option to purchase if you want to use advanced features:

Here is a tutorial about burning audio CDs:

Here are some reviews of free CD/DVD apps, most of which also have option to purchase for more capability:
