  • WOW I get to post a "What is it"

    the body is 2"X .960
The set screw is tapered on the end and when tightened causes the round thingys to protude. The bolt has a thru hole .125 that holds who knows what with a set screw to hold it, and has a set screw in the body to lock the bolt.
Two of these came in a box of machinist stuff.

    What is it?

A collet stop for 5C collet. Put it in from the back, turn in the tapered set screw to hold it in place, and you hgve a depth stop. The bolt has been added, at least it doesn't look original to me. Can't recall what was used but think it was a threaded piece with a lock nut. John

      Edit

Edit didn't work that time either. Rally should read the post before I send. John
      Now it works.

Go to John Stevenson's post and link, in the collet post, for a picture. John
