Combine two digital scales to one DRO input?

Some DRO's have an internal sum function. My Touch DRO system does

There are some commercial dros that support this.

to do it externally.... hmm. I think you will lose some counts using just xors. I’d probably use a microcontroller to read the scales, do the differential, and push quad out to the dro.

Z and quil serve mostly the same function so they could be combined to Z input.

Since scales output a train of pulses then you could get an intermediate circuit with a Arduino or something to sum the two scales and output the result to the DRO. Maybe there's already something on the market.
