to do it externally.... hmm. I think you will lose some counts using just xors. I’d probably use a microcontroller to read the scales, do the differential, and push quad out to the dro.
I want to use 4 scales on 3-axis DRO with 3 inputs.
Z and quil serve mostly the same function so they could be combined to Z input.
Since scales output a train of pulses then you could get an intermediate circuit with a Arduino or something to sum the two scales and output the result to the DRO. Maybe there's already something on the market.
