Ran across this this morning, as much as iv hate the wankle I do think this is cool as he melded two together, this vid is just really how he built the crank, the next in line youtube vid that came up for me was the actual engine running and it was very cool sounding... the guy does good work,

That's a pretty interesting project. I have to give the guy credit for his machining content and his ability to put together a good quality fast paced video without a lot of talk or bad music that's bound to piss someone off. He lets the content do the talking and it works since I see he does have a huge subscriber base.
He must have deep pockets also since his projects always seem to be a bit on the expensive side for the most of us, and he does have a lot of them.
Not that I hold that against him at all as I think his creativity transcends any of that BS.Home, down in the valley behind the Red Angus

Pretty cool little Wankel engine. I wonder if they are easily available and what the ratings are on them.OPEN EYES, OPEN EARS, OPEN MIND

Look on YouTube for 3-rotor and 4-rotor engines. They sound like a cross between a Formula 1 car and a crotch rocket. A good one if you just want to watch one video:

It reminds me of the old two stroke race bike engines. They were nice. The old 500cc bikes? Super Bikes.
Two strokers. Similar to the Rotarty.
The green weenies did not like either, so they are gone.
Like the Mazda Rotary.
Two Stroke will kill the Planet they said...
They Said so.... JR

I think the idea of it in a little RC vehicle or plane is actually kinda cool --- just talking about them in the cars and motorcycles iv worked on,,, they were kinda slugs, and drank fuel like a V/8 while being slow, also remember the early ones, cannot remember if it was real early as in the rx-2 or rx-3 or first gen rx-7 --- they had some kinda aux coolant tank that injected coolant into the engines combustion chamber! this was only when the engine was cold and for a short while ---- this was to save the apex seals from breaking !
any chemists here want to comment about the effects of actually trying to burn coolant? I guess it's supposed to be very nasty so don't fire one up in the garage even for 15 seconds...
also remember the suzuki - we did have one or two show up at the MC shop when I was there, if you were looking for something different then who could argue with you lol ok you win,,, but not good bikes in so many ways.... pistons are very tough to beat and as I stated before they are not a "waste of energies" in reciprocation as they give back most energies into the crank that it took to accelerate them (minus the friction of course)
I know they've come a long way since then --- but OMG so has the piston engine...

Only one I have privy to working on was an old rx-7 truck.. Red line was its power band. It burnt all the fuel at that RPM. And was still a gas hog no doughs. 1973 I think.
It would put most of these so called street cars to the curb. And it was scary.
Like a two stroke when it hit the power "band" at 8000 rpm it would let on too much power at once. So if you are in a turn you dont want that.
The old days.. How did we survive to get here? JR
Not Rx anything lol Just Mazda truck rotary.. JR
