I've never seen finishing broaches before.
Looks looks like they're made to do all four sides of the hole in one shot.
I wonder how close to finish dimensions you have to get before using one of those?

Sharpish inside corners demanded by some applications, only broaching will do so after rough milling, broaching is very accurate.. The length and number of teeth determine the rough hole size.
The more irregular the rough opening is the longer the broach needs to be.

These are the longest broaches I have.
These are nice because it does the slot in one pass. No need for shims. Just need a lot of room to set everything up.
I rigged my set up with a threaded rod to pull the broach through.
it looks like the diagonal grooves are the cutting teeth. they are on 2 sides in one part off the broach, and the other 2 sides a little farther up it.
