    The wedge type is more repeatable when removing and reinstalling the tool holders. It may hold tighter as well.
    If you are in a production or similar environment, changing toolholders frequently and making multiple identical parts, the wedge is the way to go. Otherwise, there is not a major benefit.

    What is the difference between the wedge type and piston type "Aloris" style tool posts? I see a big difference in price and wonder if the more expensive one is worth the difference.
