  • OT Egyptian throwing sticks

I watched a doc on tv last night about Tutankhamen, they are building a new museum to display the whole 6000 artefacts, what I’m puzzled about is the Egyptian throwing stick as described, it’s a bloody boomerang, there were dozens of them, I did not know that boomerangs existed in Africa and Australia
I found it quite shocking that there was a shared technology, did they exist in North America also with the First Nations?
he also had a dagger buried with him made of meteoric iron, another surprise

Yes, according to Tiffiepedia; It's news to me too. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boomerang#History

"Although traditionally thought of as Australian, boomerangs have been found also in ancient Europe, Egypt, and North America."
