Wide Area Network, Local Area Network. Look at the back of your router. Out of boredom I became a CCENT, which is Cisco Certified, lowest tier they offered. I use Network all the time, mainstream does not. Just like mainstream likes to say “amperage” instead of “current”

"Names"? My real problem is the acronyms - it's hard to keep up. They've always said that memory is the 2nd thing to go. ("What's the first?" - I forget ... LOL.)

Do those same idiots say "Ohmage" in place of resistance? Or are they so stupid they don't even know about resistance? :-)
I'm pretty sure they never heard of "Conductance" :-)

An internet (e.g. the Internet) can be defined as a network of networks, so I dont see anything wrong with the word "network".

Just call it the "Web" and hope there are not any spiders.

OK, what does "Wireless" mean to you? (our younger listeners won't get this)

The computer is a node on the network, the network is just "out there"...................................

Weird thing is I like spiders. I dont mess with them and they dont mess with me. Yeah, we have Black Widows and Brown Recluse.

Both at the same time. Under anything you pick up in the backyard.

There will always be one or ther other.

They dont camp out together. So where the brown spider is is where the black widow wont be.

Hahaa. I like spiders also. Along with all the others.. JR

Do NOT get near a brown recluse. JR
