But that only shows that the wheels under the bucket are mounted in the same manner as skateboard wheels.

Just don't ask me to make that umbrella.

My reactions, in order:
Wow, that's fantastic. He must have hit a sweet spot between the leaf blower and the umbrella.
But those wheels are awful small. How does that work.
And how can he be steering by tilting when the bucket shown at the start had standard mop-bucket wheels at the corners.
Boy, he sure is going fast for what it is.
Oh, the wheels are different.
You mean you can get an electric skate board? I never saw them before. Yea, that does look like a skate board under the bucket.
And what's that black thing on tip of the leaf blower?
So it is a hoax.
But, you can get some forward thrust from the leaf blower and the umbrella. The physics does not prohibit it: in fact the physics does predict it. The coyote was correct: just not that fast. The jet's reverse thrust does show it.Paul A.

That's why it's tricky to watch "segmented video" and try to make a judgement call on it - ALL segments could be manipulated with the guy just getting done coasting down a descent,,,
here's a video clip that I believe is real - and one that even if the chair is on an angle and his weight slightly unbalanced it is actually a fair testing ground to at least prove propulsion due to it being 360 degree's so all imperfections are equalized - another words if he gained at the 90 degree mark he has to pay the fiddler at the 270 mark, and what kind of bearing in the chair? most likely just plain bearing nothing fancy...
I also believe this vid to be for real - and it's piss poor quality but his testing is at least somewhat uniform as he goes back and forth on the same road so as far as cheating with downhill effect that's at least eliminated --- and he does pedal out of the turns to get up to a little speed - you would have to as like I said it's such a low torque machine that it would take many minutes to equalize it's effect with the drag factors,, but what's interesting is look how well it maintains the speed after the fact - and this looks to be a mountain bike with knobby tires?
Bottom line is I do not believe the umbrella man would have to have had an electric skateboard to pull off his "illusion" like I stated before a skateboard had to be used as there would be no way he could have controlled a mop bucket with swivel castors...
and the very lame propulsion would have ever so slightly helped with the illusion esp. in segments where you know there's level ground like at the gas pumps... don't forget vids can be mildly sped up to show no decrease in perceivable speed as well...
There's one guy that knows for sure which tricks he was using - well make that two as he did have to get someone to video him... and yeah that being said - could indeed just be an electric skateboard too...

think he could achieve those kinda coasting results without the blower and going both ways? not a chance... iv been riding knobby tired bikes for many decades and can tell you the second you stop pedaling is the second you start NOTICEABLY losing speed.....

I can't tell if it's the throttle control for the blower or if he also mounted something else by it? when I freeze the vid it goes to a slightly darker mode.... I hope he's not getting paid every time I view it cuz even if just 1/10th of a penny I do not want to contribute anymore.... lol

Yes to reiterate I already stated that --- but look how little speed he loses "if any" for the duration of the coast,,, Like I also stated it's the best demonstration he could do in such little space as it would take forever for the bike to hit it's equilibrium point, take the vid along with you for one straight run somewhere to achieve this? then how would we know he's not heading downhill?
