How to make a simple parting blade holder

I succeeded in destroying my carbide bit parting tool holder.
I decided to make a holder for a HSS parting blade.



In this video I am using:
- Weiler Matador SV (1972) Lathe
- Schaublin SV-51 (1955) Milling machine

I watched your video: I really like the simplicity of the holder (although you said it was not your design).

I commented on the fact that it created neutral rake & could have been positive by angling the pocket. But that comment is not there - did you delete it? If so, why? If not, WTH?

I do not delete comments unless they are about politics,sex or drugs (all of which I have seen).
You, BTW are right about that rake angle. It would be beneficial but it would also make the holder higher and the tool height dependent on the stickout of the blade.
