Not with me, he won't!
I was in the Army in Vietnam. I had a "short-timer's" cap. It was red and I put my rank insignia on it and wore it around the company area for two or three weeks while waiting to go. Battalion commander was a real starch-shirt, but even he did not say anything about it.
My wife threw it out along with the rest of my cap collection while I was at work. Go figure!

In the UK, judges put on a black cap when they were going to sentence the prisoner to hang---.'It may not always be the best policy to do what is best technically, but those responsible for policy can never form a right judgement without knowledge of what is right technically' - 'Dutch' Kindelberger

I was at the Toledo RC show some years back, there was a model of the USS Indianapolis there was an elderly gentleman standing by it with a USS Indianapolis cap on. He was crying, this shows you how strong the memories are and how important things like caps and models can be to the people who lived them or had a friend that did. I graduated in1964, I worked with a guy who wore sailor hat and light blue work shirt every day, some people would make fun of him, I got to know him and he told me how he jumped off of the flight deck of the USS Lexington in WW 2. The only hat I have has NRA on it. I salute those that served.
