Not complete yet, but was good enough to have the owner see it running.
He agreed that the ~ 10 RPM was a nice speed.
Just need to come up with a switch box for the toggle and capacitor, make the chain guard, finish the welding, wire it.

I think that was the engine in my 1965 Chevy Malibu that I bought in 1970 for $675. Three on the tree, positraction rear, and ran nicely. Drove it with four other people on a cross-country trip from Baltimore through St Louis, Denver, and SLC, to Berkeley, up the coast to Seattle, then back through Spokane and St Cloud, MN. Averaged about 15 MPG. Drove through KS at up to 80 MPH (posted speed limit).
