Positive mental attitude, don't accept the first diagnosis, course of treatment, prognosis, etc. as being correct.
Ask questions, research, look for your own options, clinical trials, etc.

I hope their wrong about it Arcane,,, there is always hope no matter what but I also understand the attitude of sometimes enough is enough and in that case if it does come down to it then I wish you a peaceful pain-free exit, there's allot of ears on this board and many have been through it, who knows maybe its something similar if you ever feel like sharing, people have pulled it back from the abyss and i hope you end up being one of them...
