  • The lathe has arrived!!!!

Hey fella's I finally went and picked up my turret lathe! Looked it over real good before buying..... good condition! sold as an Elgin, but for it's labled Hardige.. I'm not sure what year it was made, does any one here know how to pick out the years? the motor is v-belt, but the spindle is leather belt and the ways are a reverse dove tail. Sorry no pictures; I have no idea how to up load from my wifes camera!

It looks like the Elgin turret was sold by Hardinge.

Elgin manufactured these lathes in the 30's & 40's and were apparently absorbed by Hardinge about the time of WWII.
