    I don't know, but I have a couple sitting on a box next to my mill. Took me a while to figure out what they even were!

      I've got a few at work for our Hardinge turret lathes, but we don't use them very often since adding a couple 5/16 geometric heads.
      I just need one more tool,just one!

        I think those does we're commonly used on the old screw machines.

          Yes. There were releasing and non-releasing versions of a holder for Acorn dies in the B&S catalog I have of turret tooling.

            They're okay. They'll do a far better job than the little button dies that aren't good for much except cleaning up damaged threads.

            A big issue with these type threading dies is they require a spindle reversal.

              Agree on the reversal issue. Releasing types are a lot easier to deal with.

              I bet, if anyone notices, that you will get pushback on the idea that button dies (the standard threading die) are worthless except for cleaning threads.........
