I don't know how I missed this yesterday, an absolutely gorgeous work of art and craftsmanship, thank you for sharing that here.

The brass heads look awesome and offer a nice contrast with the rest of the engine's externals, I too would clear coat them.
However you do have eye for what is aesthetically pleasing, so whatever route you do choose I'm sure it will still be an eye opener.
