Anyone else have a tool(s) they don't ever use yet HAVE TO keep? I never use this set of SS old craftsman wrenches but I take them out and drool over them maybe once a year.

I have some sentimental tools from my grandparents, dad, and some coworkers who are no longer with us. They all get used, and I think of those guys often, when I use them. I don't have any nice tools that are just for decoration.

I'm with Doozer. Those ss tools would probably end up in the tractor toolbox. They'd be great for that

I get rid of a bunch every so often. Ones I have better ones to replace, ones I really do not want/need, ones I just do not like.

Tools are , well, either tools to help do something, or they are junk laying around and keeping you from doing things. Some are both, and they stay. But when they move from the first category to the second, out they go.

I do use a system. I chuck them in a box of "stuff to go". If they have to come back out of there to be used, they can stay. If they are still in there when it's garage sale day, they go.

I do have some useful stuff that I do not use much, but also do not get rid of, just because it is cool. Not too much of that, though.

None in sold or completed, but FleaBay keeps a short history. Might list it at $499 and see if any collectors bite. Buy something you need and will use.

Nothing makes me happier than having a nice tool... and using it. I get a lot cheaper of crap for nice paint jobs on old tools, but it makes them nice to use. And I like to use nice machines.

The only tools I marvel over and don't use are the friggin machines I haven't yet finish so aren't yet running. I do spend a bit of time though making the smaller ones look nice...but they all get used.

I think you come here to fine tune your curmudgeoness.
You want to throw a set of collector grade wrenches in the tractor go ahead! Do what you want to do. It's none of my business. Just like what I do/like is non of yours. For you to to judge me as having "misplaced priorities" is borderline sick IMO and suggesting my life has been too easy is 100% stupid.
