I ordered three items from Amazon last week. One will take a month to get here, OK it's on an actual slow boat but I can wait.
One was a spot drill and the other was some metric screws and "special" nuts. Well the spot drill showed up in 3 days except when I opened the bag the plastic box it came in was crushed allowing the drill out into the bag which had a hole in it. No spot drill. Complaint filed and they promised to re-ship a new one, it will just take longer to get here.SIIGGGHHHH!!!!!
Then just for their amusement they sent a notice saying delivery of the last item would be delayed a couple of days, after they already said it had been shipped from the local depot. Fine I could wait for that BUT then they decided, for some reason that they didn't mention, that the order was cancelled and returned to the seller. Now they promised to refund my money, 3 to 5 days after it is returned, so sometime next week if at all. I will have to reorder and the icing on the cake is that because the original order was over $35 I had free shipping but the reorder will be $13 so I will now have to pay for shipping which I'm sure will as much as the metric nuts cost.
I don't know if this is Amazons standard practice or lack of one. Was there a screw up and the order was never shipped or went someplace in a galaxy far far away.
