  • Project from special "digital" HSM edition, how does it operate?

I am referring to the project that has the dial and the microswitches to activate a stepper motor.

Is one revolution of the wheel equal to one revolution of the stepper motor?

As I designed the project, one revolution of the wheel on the controller will produce four steps of the stepper motor. Most steppers have 100 to 400 steps per revolution, but more and less are available. By increasing the complexity of the cam more steps per revolution can be had, but I haven't actually done it. I originally designed the project for manipulating objects under a microscope. I didn't want to dedicate an electronic controller to an application that would see only sporadic use.
