Paint job gone bad

I got them cleaned off I cooked 2 of them at a time for 20 minutes or so, and pressure washed them off. Came out pretty good removed all of the bad paint and some of the original. I used 3 containers of lye drain cleaner. I got some vises soaking without heat that had multi layers of paint on them.

Neutralize it with vinegar:

It will produce sodium acetate and water, but probably other stuff that the lye reacted with.

Then maybe pour the solution on concrete as a waterproofing agent.

Neutralize with vinegar, pour into tub lined with plastic sheet, allow to evaporate and throw the plastic sheet in the trash?

Well……. I figured out what happened I was getting ready to throw the bad can of paint out and I happened to look at the label, it wasn’t paint it is primer the can on the right. I sure had my head in my butt. It probably would of been fine if I would have thinned it a bit and sprayed it on then using actual PAINT instead of primer.

I am going to keep it around for a while I have some vises and other things I want to strip the paint and grease off of.
