  • OT: Trespasser delema!

Earlier today a man came walking into the farm from the back gate. I was not far from the gate that he came through so I walked over to him ready to read him the riot act. He walked up to me and asked if I was the owner of the property. I said yes and was just about to chew his ass when he stuck out a credit card he had in his hand. I took the credit card and looked at it and low and behold it was one of my wife's cards. He found it out on one of the roads in the woods behind our property. I thanked him and he turned around and went out the gate he came in onto the property. I drove up to the house and found my wife and handed her the card. She told me she had ridden out there last evening and at one point she opened her phone case to take a call and the card must have fallen out at that time. Now what am I supposed to do........SPFD!

No problem. Always check their pockets before tossing the trespasser into the woodchipper.

Be glad he was honest. I'd have given him a reward.

Have your wife buy him lunch. She lost the card you didn't.

Read your wife the riot act, tell her one more time and you'll have to do all of the grocery shopping for her!

Willy that was the worst post you ever made on this forum. Really bad idea for me to do the shopping of any kind.

I offered him 100€ but he wouldn't take it. I think he said to me it was the right thing to do and he shouldn't take any money for it. I think that is what he said but his German dialect was very different than what I have ever heard before. He didn't hang around very long. Maybe he was late. I don't know but my wife was very thankful. So was I as the card was actually on one of my accounts. Saved me some hassle regarding canceling and such.

Sounds like a good man. Maybe you should have offered him a job! They seem to be getting fewer and farther in between these days.

What a really nice man. It wasn't even on your property so he had to make an educated guess that it was yours due to the proximity of your property. Around here they would steal it From your property/ Refreshing to see there are still Humans around. JR

It's a new day and BF is not quite as crusty as yesterday....

Despite the overall look that the world is going to hell in a handcart there actually are a lot of good people out there. You just had an encounter with one of the "good silent majority"... .At least I hope we're still in the majority....

I picked up a wallet outside my bungalow on the pavement, did not recognise the name in it and took it into the police station. When I had parked the car after returning, my neighbour saw me and said his visitor had just lost his wallet. He was surprised to hear that it was at the police station already, it was only missing for half an hour.

While in my local Town was stopped at a Intersection,a Pick Up drove through and Wallet flew out of the Window,a fair amount of Cash was blowing around as it came out.I jumped out and gathered everything and took chase after the Truck,it turned out this guys little boy chucked it out without his Dad seeing.I got him stopped and handed over his goodies, turned out to be one of my Seed Customers and was a faithful customer until he retired🤓

What's with the random capitalization? Spasms of creativity? Rogue little finger hitting that "shift" key? Brain tumor?

Nit picky? Sure, but when my brain sees a capitalized word, it attaches a proper noun tag. When that doesn't make sense in the following words, my brain has to back up, do a reset on the proper noun tag, and re-interpret what's written. All automatic, of course, but it does make for a less-than-smooth reading.
