This is a updated version similar to the one I posted a while back, still using salvaged GM steering shaft the one with all aluminum ujoint is a 1-1/2” shorter than the other if cut ujoint as pic shows. This one got mounted to a MT4 to MT1 reducer,I machined the MT1 bore straight to match steering shaft about 2Tons of pressure to press together and spiral pin through drift key slot for extra holding. Also made a dieholder for 1” Dies with retaining bolts to keep die square in holder with conical washers for some compression.A descent range for tapping 3/4”NC and 3mm for smaller one as pic shows. These can be built for a very reasonable price, this will be around $65 cdn.
