  • Machinist Bedside Reader

I got my new copy and it is like visiting with an old friend!

I bought all three from Guy when he lived in North Vancouver. He signed them while I was there and having a nice visit. That was March 30, 1996. I keep them handy so I can reread some of his "tips".

I got all 3 a long time ago. Great reading. Once in a while I skim through them again to be reminded of tips and tricks I may have forgotten, and read a story or 2 again.

I have the three also. Well published that's for sure. Worth going back to time and again. JR

I've got the three of them plus his lighterweight "Hey Tim, I Gotta Tell Ya".

I have the three originals. They are enjoyable light reading and lots of good tidbits of info. It seems most people find something in them that is useful and they are entertaining. I still pull them down off the shelf periodically to read and reread. I'd buy a copy of # 4 if it were to finally get published.

I had the originals but they were lost in a hurricane and cost too much to replace them!

The best investment you can make is buying a copy of the index: it allows you to search across all three volumes. I got mine a couple of years ago in pdf format (had to sign an agreement that I wouldn’t share the file), so it’s easy to search. With the new printing and additional content it’s probably out of date, but maybe Guy will have it updated once he’s finished with changes to volumes 2 & 3.
