      • That is an old one. It is nothing like what is described by Dorian, or shown in the CEE video.
        CNC machines only go through the motions.

            Interesting! Looks to be what is called a curvic coupling. That baby aint going nowhere when engaged.

            • The CEE (Cutting Edge Engineering) video that J Tiers mentions in post 100 above is one of many put out by the Australian machinist. He does a lot of repair work for huge earthmoving equipment working alone in a well equipped shop.
