I have Turbo Cad Ver 7 and I find that the 3D Version is way too complicated for a person like me who probably uses it once every 6 weeks. when I first got the program I went through it step by step with the manual and sure enough it made great 3D drawings, but when i went back a few weeks later to make a drawing I couldn't remember how I did some of the things and didn't want to take the time to go through the learning curve a second time. So now I just stick with 2D drawings and use a very elementary CAD program that is very user friendly. It is called Delta Cad and can be found at www.deltacad.com. Hope this helps.

The Qstep CNC software I am working with, imports dxf..
Autocad 14 is my favorite, it has changed less than any of the others.
I had to buy books on it tho.. I still ain't worth a flip at 3d drawing.
